UWF Projects

The projects listed on this page are proposed projects for students that like a challenge. Several are approved for senior design projects, see your Professor for more information. If you are a student of UWF and would like to engage in one of these project see the point of contact that is listed with each project for more details. These are in addition to the UAV and UUV project which have they own web sites.

Robotic arm controllers.

This project would involve designing a controller for the Rino robotic arm. The arms have 6 degrees of motion which are controlled by 6 motor. Each motor has a optical position feed back. The Technologic Systems TS 7620 embedded micro processor should be used for this project. APIs for require code is also provided.

Project I-bot

The I-bot is a robot that will take visitors on a tour of the new Science and Engineering building. This is a several year project but the first version should be complete by July 2009. This is a joint project between several departments.

Wind power generation.

Carry on the wind generation project. The system should also be able to gather data to support future development.

Solar power generation.

Design and build a solar generation system. The system should generate solar power from the suns energy. The system should also be able to gather data to support future development.

Weather Station to support wind, solar and water generation

Design and build a weather station that would gather data about wind and solar The system should also be able to gather data to support future development.
